Done a few calculations using the data on this thread and so far, since 12 September, the results are as follows: (i've tried to work out which groups were seen several times and removed the duplicates from the results)
Total Geese: 42477 Geese going North: 151 East (including NE and SE): 34945 South: 2171 West (including NW and SW): 3902 also there are 1308 geese with no direction specified.
Days with most geese: 1. 02/11/2008: 12645 - 10132 (80.1%) East, 1000 (7.9%) South, 375 (3.0%) West 2. 16/11/2008: 7679 - 1 (0.01%) North, 6970 (90.8%) East, 708 (9.2%) West 3. 08/11/2008: 3950 - 3840 (97.2%) East, 110 (2.8%) West 4. 15/11/2008: 3021 - 2490 (82.4%) East, 531 (17.6%) West 5. 18/10/2008: 2063 - 1245 (60.3%) East, 780 (37.8%) South, 38 (1.8%) West
The day with the most westerly movement was 16/11/2008 with 708 (9.2%) West and 6970 (90.8%) East.
The day with the highest % of westerly movement was 01/11/2008 with 275 (86.5%) West and 43 (13.5%) East.

c.450, closely followed by 32, over Golborne at 0959 (guess these were the same as Dave Broome's 420 over A-i-M?) - I could then see these over Pennington Flash with possibly more skeins, from a slightly elevated position so maybe Barrie Hulme was a little bit out with his time?? then c.100 low W at 1020 which turned around and went back E. 1400 over Bedford Moss mid morning, probably 1030 - ish from a farmer in that area. Two flocks each of c.750 passed over Broadheath at 0930 (from Margaret McCormick)

All skeins recorded flying east over Chorlton WP
c52 at 09.05, c170 at 10.00, c320 at 10.12, 550+ in two close skeins at 10.15, c110 at 10.20 contained a smaller bird situated behind the leader (silhoetted so I didn't get anything on it)

Two flights over Worthington Lakes, Wigan at 11.35am. Total c120birds.
Also 6 Mandarin ducks (3 Pairs on smallest lake)
+ lots of Goldcrest, LTT's and Goldfinch
Also 20+Pied wags, 8+ Grey wags and a few Meadow Pipits in ploughed field above the lakes. 30+ Fieldfare and 10+ Redwing in Hedgerows in same location

At least 200 over Ernocroft at 9.50 going sort of east. Then about 10 minutes later c50 came back from that direction, followed by another 80 or so 15 minutes after that. Maybe got lost in the early gloom?

c80 over Flixton, Manchester at 1250, 15th November, flying east.
Undoubtedly same bunch (which I counted at between 125/130) over Compstall at 2.12pm. These were followed by another lot of c90 when I reached Werneth Low at 2.40pm. First flock were going E/NE, and the second E/SE.
Saw this flock flying towards Compstall at around 2.05pm from Chadkirk.

I counted 76 Dave... Also about 300 SE over Horrock's/Ince at about 11:00 and about 10 minutes ago 400ish (didnt get a good view of them) SE over Ashton-in-Makerfield
