Really nice walk late afternoon/early evening today with highlights of:
2 singing Corn Bunting
2 Hobby, not together, with one successfully hunting dragonflies on the very NW section of the reserve and a very obliging bird perched up on a dead birch on Cadishead Moss too.
2 Green Sandpiper (together)
At least one Quail, initially heard singing briefly about midway on Little Woolden Moss LWT itself in between the southern and northern paths just north of Cadishead Moss and by the time I'd got round to the northern path by the arable fields it, or indeed another, was calling quite close to the path within field 56 itself. Possibly two birds but perhaps just one rapidly moving bird for now as it's a possibility it made its way back into the field by the time I'd walked round.
8 Yellow Wagtail in total
3 Curlew
