12 drake Common Scoters this morning (record shot attached)
Also 1 Common Tern 1 Ringed Plover and 2 Little ringed Plovers
Ian Kimber had a Red Kite fly over south on Sunday (7/7)

2 Red-legged Partridge on Turnough Hill at the nature reserve today were my first ever here although they do seem to be spreading in the local area - presumably due to released birds
The eclipse drake Gadwall still on the nature reserve and a Ringed Plover were the other highlights. A pair of Whitethroat were carrying food to their nest and a Green Woodpecker was heard calling
Little Egret again present this morning -distant record shots attached
Also a Greenshank present briefly before flying off north at 0740

Little egret on island with 3 grey herons in NR M swan 2 ad and 4 v small cygnets Lapwing pair protecting 4 just fledged balls of fluff in paddock opposite NR Sedge warbler heard briefly singing from hawthorns up side of paddock
1st summer Little Gull feeding actively along the east side of the lake viewed from Rakewood Road during the afternoon and also roosting with other gulls on the nature reserve area, it then moved to the Sailing Club, where it was giving stunning close views and still present at 6:35pm
A Little Egret present late morning and 2 Common Sandpiper
Late news for Wednesday (8th) when Ian Kimber had at least 3 Black Terns through and a summer plumages Grey Plover.

Good views this morning of the drake Common Scoter obligingly near to the Country Park entrance shoreline - about 30-40m out, feeding successfully on mussels. A good watch for an hour or so.
