The dip in the road after the car park heading to the reservoirs. Where we usually get Grasshopper Warbler, Whinchat etc. It's been named after Dolly the horse who is no longer with us!

Great Northern Diver on lower res at 1120hrs
Redshank Great Crested Grebe Stonechat (fem) in 'Dollys Dip'
Osprey at 16.25, bird stayed until 17.15 before flying off over the Noddle towards Piethorne. Excellent close views as the bird travelled backwards and forwards hunting above both Reservoirs finally catching a large trout but following a long battle was unable to lift the fish from the water. Pity as it would no doubt of stayed around for much longer. Barry Stanley also present.

initially there was no sign of the Great Northern Diver this morning but it flew on to the lower reservoir at 1200hrs from the west. Maybe visiting Piethorne or Hollingworth Lake. It also had an excursion yesterday late morning as well!
