Hi, if you scroll back to November 12th 2008 you will find good dirrections to Rumworth.
The only right of way is a "path" from the stile following the hedge down to the water. Royal Ashton Anging club have the fishing rights, but there is not usually a problem if birders wander round. However there is no way anyone can walk right round when the water level is high.
The best way to check the water is to use a scope soon after going over the stile, then stay close to the hedge and work your way down to the water, checking the big reed bed as you pass it.

I have parked in the past on Beaumont Rd in the entrance by a gate , there is a gap in the trees which you walk down to get closer to the lake ,there is a white house on my right . Is this the main entrance to walk around the lake or am I trespassing at the botton of the field on my right is a huge reed bed with bullrushes. Not certain how close you can get to the lake without disturbing birds or folk? Advise
