I arrived at Audenshaw at 13.40 and walked all around No.1 Res then settled down on the railway side for an hours serious scoping, but to no avail. I rang Karen Foulkes at about 14.50 (she by now being on the opposite side of No. 1, next to No. 3). About a half hour later she rang to say she had a Med Gull on the near grassy embankment of no. 3. I hastened round a saw a nice adult (with about 90% summer hood) loafing among the Black-headed Gulls. I introduced myself to the noble lady, and bowed low to kiss her hand in gratitude! Other species:
Lesser Black backed Gulls: a scattering (into double figures) Common Gulls : many Black-headed Gulls: even more Great- Crested Grebes: perhaps 6 Goldeneyes: 30 plus Goosanders: 6 min

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a med gull tonight but conditions were far from perfect!
Simon Ghilks may have had more luck as we spilt up to check the roosts on No. 1 and No. 2 reservoirs.
However, there were a decent number of large gulls including at least 15 GBBG, and similar numbers of herring gull and around 50 LBBG.
