This morning's highlights were singing Grasshopper warbler at west end, 2 Common tern, single Black tailed Godwit and several Reed and Sedge warbler in song.

Common Tern this morning also along with plenty Willow Warbler and 500+ Sand Martin,2 Cetti's Warbler and Gargany had moved to mini Spit from Horrocks Hide when I left.
also a late one for yesterday Common/Arctic Tern present pm (Karl Bishop) possibly the same bird as this morning

This morning's highlights included pair of Garganey seen from Horrocks hide feeding against far bank. 2 Black tailed Godwit from ramsdales hide. Reed warbler singing in ramsdales reedbed. 2 Common Sandpiper by sailing club. 5 Greylag geese at west end and 4 singing Cettis warbler, also a non singing bird watched at western end whilst male was singing nearby.

The pair of garganey still present showing from horrocks hide to the right this evening at 7.15 pm not great viewing due to the sun. Hundreds of sand Martins over the flash, several swallows, could only find 1 house martin.
4 little ringed plovers 4 redshanks 1 black tailed godwit 2 common snipe 6 oystercatchers Reed warbler singing in ramsdale reed bed, but couldn't see it. Cettis warbler also. At least 4 willow warblers 2 willow tits

This morning's highlights included flock of c. 35 Redpoll in birches on rucks contained 3 probable Common redpoll. Male Wheatear also on rucks. Elsewhere 3 singing Willow warbler, 4 singing Cettis warbler, several Blackcap, 2 Shelduck and 3 Greylag geese.

Nice pair of Blackcap heard and seen not far from the car park. Cetti's Warbler heard and seen near the concrete bridge.
Great Crested and Little Grebe on the water, but no Black-Necked Grebe seen.

Black Necked Grebe was still present but at the far western end of the Flash at 7pm, distant, associating with Tufted Ducks and seen to go to sleep. Good views from shoreline with 'scope, but a cautious approach is recommended as birds tend to be quite shy of human figures on the shore. It's possible to observe from a few feet back at the edge of the trees. (very distant picture attached)
Also excellent 'scope views of a raft of 9 female Goldeneye and 3 males.
Plenty of Sand Martin activity until the light started to fade.
Male Wheatear on Ramsdales Ruck late morning at least.

Very brief look round this am produced 2 Greylag geese, 2 Curlew north and one Curlew feeding on flooded grass area just west of sailing club. At least 6 singing Chiffchaff between sailing club and plank lane.
