ever increasing numbers of pochard I counted 30.
Birds in the trees included, blue, great and long tailed tits, goldfinch, house sparrow, blackbird, robin. 3 redwing also feeding

Just got back from evening walk with dog,pink footed geese could be heard in C10 field at bottom of rucks, didn't actually see any but would estimate at least 20 from what I could hear.

Just fir tree flash, very windy. Good numbers of mallard and coot. Female goosander, 6 tufted duck, only counted 4 pochard aswell today unless the rest were in cover, moorhen, 1 cormorant. Not much in the trees around fir tree flash either today mainly great tit, little flock of long tailed tits, goldfinch.great crested grebe and reed bunting.

C2 raven over hassling a buzzard, C4 sparrowhawk put a common snipe up and chased it through the trees where i lost sight of them, jay, usual magpie, wood pigeon and carrion crow throughout walk. peregrine falcon could be seen over the new marina near to plank lane swing bridge.

Been out running today 3 laps around fir tree flash. 1 male Merlin flew straight across the flash it was after some blue tits which it never got.1 raven, 2 carrion crow, 24 mallards In total, coot, moorhen, still a decent little number of pochard I counted 10, redwing, wren, blackbird, Great crested grebe, cormorant, meadow pipit. Didn't see or hear any robins today which is unusual or goldfinches for that matter. Funny probably most I've seen around fir tree flash for a couple of months and I had no binoculars.

Late afternoon/early evening
20+ jackdaw over, 2 mute swan landed on Diggle flash @ 16-20 flying off north at 16-45, I would like to think it was AV6 with a new mate but couldn't see any rings as they stayed in the centre of the flash.

1 Male Sparrowhawk - C3 perched in trees watching the Great Tit closely 50+ Fieldfare - C3 & 40+ Redwing - C10 (this is the largest number I have seen here since Autumn ) pair of Great-crested Grebe C9 engaging in full courtship display (almost felt like Spring)

C8 great views of kestrel perched low in a tree watching long tailed tits although it didn't try to take any it probably could have done, 1 skylark, small numbers of meadow pipit.

C4 reed bunting,6 snipe. 4 jays two in c6,c11,c8. 4 fieldfare in c11. C9 goldeneye,tufted duck,great crested grebe,gadwall,willow tit,long tailed tit,goldfinch and 1 Goldcrest. Also good numbers of magpies, gulls and meadow pipit.

C8 2 skylark, 1 buzzard, 20+ meadow pipit, C10 8 common snipe, 1 woodcock.

Half 9 till half 10. Only c3 c4 c5 c6 covered Reed bunting c3,c4,c5,c6. Long tailed tits c4, also in c4 were 32 snipe and 1 snipe in c3 good numbers of blue, great tits, robins and goldfinches around c6. On fir tree flash one lone Canada goose 3 female tufted duck. 1 song thrush singing in c5,2 skylark in c5 aswell. 1 swan flew over towards diggle flash.

was intending a full tour but turned back when the motor bikes arrived gave me a headache even from a distance, do they think they are going faster because they are making a lot of noise? half the time the engine was crying out for a gear change
C9 5 gadwall 3f,2m on stock pond, 2 goldeneye 1m,1f, c20 each tufted duck and coot, 3 moorhen, 4 great crested grebe, 1 lesser black backed gull, c30 black headed gull,7 mallard, 1 mute swan landed @09-40, flew off at 10-15, and circled the flash 10mins later didn't see any signs of a ring when it was flying off, dunnock, great, blue and long tailed tit, robin, wren, blackbird, chaffinch.
C8 great views of kestrel perched low in a tree watching long tailed tits although it didn't try to take any it probably could have done, 1 skylark, small numbers of meadow pipit.
28 pink footed geese over heading SE @ 09-43am,1 grey heron, c30 lapwing over, otherwise minus the goldcrest and fieldfare pretty similar to Scotts sightings,
late afternoon stroll only 7 jackdaw and c130 starling over to add to the morning totals.
