Scoter and Little Egret still present at 12.30. Also Common Tern and a pair of Tufted Duck with 9 new ducklings. Quite amazing that they manage to nest successfully with so much disturbance around the edges.

This a.m. with Malcolm, Withins outflow Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail, along the canal 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 2 Little Egret, 1 Grasshopper Warbler (heard only), 1 Water Rail with 4 others heard (possible breeding?) and 8 singing Sedge Warbler. Also 4 Oystercatcher in flight. Cheers Ian

Of interest this a.m. family of Grey Wagtails around the sailing club with 1 Common Tern and a Kingfisher over the res, also 4 Kestrels seen and 4 juv. Lapwings in capsticks area. Cheers Ian
The moorhens and coots have their 2nd brood of chicks now. Reed warbler on old Hall marsh Sedge warbler collecting insects in the canal Gadwall ×4 with one of the drakes now entering into eclipse already!!!

1st visit in over 2 weeks having been in Lesvos, (know where I prefer !), on the res 4 Greylag Geese and a Kingfisher only birds of note. 1 Dipper flying upriver with an Oystercatcher going the other way also. Cheers Ian
