This morning
15 Siskin present on the Varley Street side of the Victoria Mill complex. Also 8 Goldfinch by the swimming baths.
Other sightings so far this week have included:
c30 Black Headed Gulls 1 Lesser Black Backed Gull 1 Common Gull Cormorant Grey Wagtail
The leucistic Carrion Crow is also still present in the area

Right near the Mill complex this avvy - two Mute Swan looking graceful, lots of mallard, plus two Pied Wagtails in the vicinity.

2 Goosander flew along the canal towards Manchester this morning, my first sighting in the area. I also saw my first Miles Platting Long Tailed Tit!

c50 corvids present on a factory unit opposite Victoria Mill at lunchtime today. I dashed into the office to grab my bins only to see most had dispersed. The remaining birds were all Carrion Crows.

Not exactly a sighting, but a Song Thrush has been singing most mornings from next to the canal opposite Victoria Mill.
12 Magpies present next to the swimming pool building on Tuesday

In the surrounding area 6 House Sparrows Starling many spread out in the area and impossible to give an accurate count c10 Feral Pigeon 2 Blackbird 2 Magpie Blue Tit Great Tit Robin (singing)
The leucistic Carrion Crow was also still present flying around Victoria Mill

The Cockatiel was calling loudly yesterday morning but I was unable to see it.
This morning the white winged Carrion Crow was present and being mobbed by a normal Carrion Crow.
Also a Grey Wagtail over Victoria Mill at 1545 today

1 Chiffchaff singing from the boarded up grounds of a derelict tower block at Wadeford Close near Butler St Thurs 22nd Sept 9 Mistle thrush Friday 23rd Meadow Pipits over all week in the mornings Heron regular around the canal Grey and Pied Wagtail regular I've also seen a female Sparrowhawk on several occaisions over the past month in the vicinity of the tower block.
also from nearby Beswick between Phillips Park Rd and the Etihad Stadium entrance
