A Willow Warbler singing south of "Jack's Farm" on the main track. Otherwise 18 singing Chiffchaffs, 3 singing Goldcrests, plus 2 Linnets and a Lesser Redpoll over Green Hill. 1 Little Grebe seen from the Hill. Plenty of etcs.

Jack Lane 13:50 - 14:15: a snipe was flushed by a passing hedge-trimming tractor, a Cetti's warbler in the reeds by the path through the reserve (a site first for me) and there was a couple of teals whistling from the pool hidden in the reeds on the West site.
The mixed tit flock working along the railway embankment included two goldcrests.
Just the one willow tit on Fly Ash Hill today.

Some highlights from a morning Wellacre CP walk, with a diversion to the River Mersey.
Dipper 1 flew from under Mile Road bridge, downstream. Water Rail 3 heard at Jack Lane NR. Grey Heron 2 at ETW. Pied Wagtail 40+ at ETW. Moorhen 8 Dutton's Pond. Ring-necked Parakeet 5+...not sure if I should call this a highlight. Lesser Redpoll 1 etc.etc.etc.
A few afternoon highlights from Wellacre Country Park.
Buzzard 3 Sparrowhawk 1 female. Redwing 1...must get out earlier! Common Gull 1 1st W. Grey Wagtail 2 at ETW. Pied Wagtail 20+ at ETW. Jackdaw 26 etc.etc.etc.

Out at first light today - about 100 Redwing over and more in the bushes along the railway line towards the ship canal. Sparrowhawk nearby. Water Rail heard in JL reserve. 10 Ring Necked parakeet in the reserve yesterday.
