Late afternoon walk with Lucas and the dog around Greenbank Park and surrounds, Levenshulme. Absolutely loads of birds (mainly of 2 species) swirling around overhead in the area, I noticed plenty of flying ants on the floor so was there a 2nd wave perhaps?
- Common Swifts, well in excess of 100 birds - Black-headed Gulls, stopped counting at 100 with more to go - 4 House Martins - 2 Swallow - Small number of Lesser Black-backed Gulls
Evening walk, same area. - No Gulls - 7 Common Swifts - 2 House Martin - 1 Sparrowhawk over Mount Road

Was out on Greenbank Park, Levenshulme with the dog this evening watching the good numbers of Swifts overhead...probably around 75-80 birds high up swooping around.
I noticed a largish Bird of Prey (AGAIN) drifting East in a fairly straight line just North of the park 8.10pm. It was heading possibly towards Stockport, I ran back to Michelles to get my camera but Id lost it. Difficult to be anywhere near certain as to what it is, appeared to be Buzzard-like but remains unidentified.
A Sparrowhawk was circling low over Michelles and around 5 House Martin in close proximity to it.
