This a.m. with Steven, highlights were 9 Goldeneye, 2 Goosander, 1 Little Grebe and just 2 Teal on the res. 1 Little Egret at pond near canal where a further 6 Teal also 1 Water Rail heard here. Approx 40 Redwing in hedgerows, 6 Oystercatcher near Withins and 1 Pink-footed Goose feeding with Canada Geese. Around the car park were approx. 80 Goldfinch. Cheers Ian

Almost a bird free environment on the reservoir when I was there. But saw a kingfisher. Yesterday late post of a buzzard over crow trees.

Highlights this a.m. with Malcolm in thick fog, on stone wall a pale gull was noticed which when viewed with binoculars turned out to be a 1st or 2nd Winter Iceland Gull alas it flew off over the res. and into the fog not to be seen again. Also 11 Goosander on the water with approx 25 Lapwing flying around. By the canal the Water Rails were very vocal with at least 4 heard. Cheers Ian
