No sign of the Common Scoters on any res. Of note: 1 Greenshank 1 Common Sandpiper 3 Wheatear (appear to be all fem-juv) 1 pair of Linnets Approx 20 Swallows Approx 30 Pied Wagtails (alot of juv about, 1 of which had a distinct yellowish tint) 4 red-head Goosanders ...plus usual suspects

A dead African Grey Parrot was found on site yesterday and over the past two Sundays one birder and his partner have collected over 30 bags of rubbish from the site!!!

6 Sanderling present on no. 2 reservoir at 7:40pm today.
Huge numbers of Swift, mixed in with Sand Martin, House Martin, and Swallow. Birds covering all 3 Res, estimation of around 500/600+ birds with ease, predominantly Swift. Only other birds seen : a few Lesser Black Backed Gulls, Great Crested Grebe, and a Jay near Audenshaw Road end.
No sign of any Waders, and I've been lucky enough to see a Hobby at 2 different locations last weekend but Audenshaw still defeats me! But I will get it!

Was there for an hour or so this morning , and the number of swifts and swallows in the morning sun was a wonder. Also present were a few house martins , 4 Dunlin , 3 sanderling , 1 ringed plover , 8 great crested grebes , 6 lbb gulls , 2 pied wagtails , 2 meadow pippits , and skylark singing above the covered reservoir.

Not sure if any of the regular birders were around this afternoon, but there were at least 4-500 swifts spilling over embankment onto M60 when drining north bound at about 1630 today. Would love to know how many were actually feeding over all three reservoirs!
