2 unfortunate Waxwings were dead this morning at Mesnes Terrace, off Mesnes Street in Wigan town centre. They were on the pavement opposite the two large Cotoneaster which have the Pied Wagtail roost. They had presumably struck large windows on the former Smiths shop, where Chris Dunn noticed a smudge which seemed to have a feather stuck to it.
They've been donated to Manchester Museum.
