Tameside Willow Tit records are scarce, albeit on the increase recently. Do you submit them to the GMBRG?
I must say I am envious of the sightings of more than one bird

Out of interest, Jeff. Is that Willow Tits plural? I have been watching Willow Tit for ten months at Brushes, Stalybridge, but have only ever seen one bird at a time. Sunflower seeds seem to be a favourite

4/2/2015 early PM, some sightings from a quick visit to Dunkirk Wood stretch of the River Tame and adjacent fields.
7 Goldeneye 10 Teal 1 Little Grebe 1 Stock Dove on a recently fertilised field. A loose flock of 9 Mistle Thrush, 2 Fieldfare and 1 Redwing were spread thinly across a grassy field. 1 Sparrowhawk that flew through and disturbed the thrushes Also lots of Canada Geese in the fields and on the river, 2 of which were seen side by side diving completely under the water for a few seconds at a time. Evolution in action or just weird behaviour? Not a species I have spent much time watching so it might be quite normal.

At 1.10 am today at least 2 Curlew flew over my house calling continually as I fumbled for my keys (the emphasis on fumbled following a session imbibing the amber nectar). They flew on over the Hyde United ground and were presumably heading for Audenshaw reservoirs. The cloud cover was 100% and very low - not the best sort of weather for migrating I would have thought. In the past 2 or 3 years I've heard Oystercatchers on several occasions late at night passing overhead in similar low cloud conditions and all presumably heading for Audenshaw reservoirs.
