Also had a Siskin at Whitefield Golf club on the way home.

Quick look this am. Disturbance by 3 guys wading out into the ponds wi big nets and buckets! Gadwall 29 Tufted duck 26 Teal 22 Little grebe 3 Buzzard Chiffchaff 3 Bullfinch male LBBG 15 nort Meadow pipit 3 north
A good mooch round this morning was very fruitless the ponds were 97% frozen and the woods and fields were very quiet.
Shoveler 4, Goldeneye 2, Canada's 4, Teal 9 + 7 on river, 4 Goosanders flew over and single Little Grebe Also on river.
Single lapwing back in the stubble field with 5 Stock dove and about 100 woodpigeons. No finches, buntings or winter thrushes at all.

Pintail (eclipse drake) Wigeon Gadwall 70 (think this could be a site record? certainly a personal one) Shoveler 2 Teal 38 Mallard 9 Tufted Duck 56 Little Grebe 7 Mute Swan 2 ad and 2 well grown young (must have been hiding last week)
Green Sand and Snipe (1st time seen this autumn!!) - very over grown for these 2 species now - one of the pools nearset the motorway has dried up exposing lots of mud.
Mute Swan 2 ad - the well grown young seen last time not with ads - not sure whats happened to them?!
Canada Goose 386 flushed from fields by Helicopter single Greylag with them. House Martin 56 NW,
Massive tit flock containing at least 54 Blue tit, 4 coal tit, willow tit, 15+ Great tit, 27 LTT, 10 Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler

Quick visit this morning
Duck numbers now reduced but couldnt cover the whole site.
Buzzard 2 inc the one with a missing primaries, Kestrel, Long tailed tit 19 Ploughed fields phillips park road west Redwing 100, Mpipit 12, Goldfinch 5.
Also there was a Roe deer carcus along the main track by the treatment works entrance looked as tho it had been feasted on as all that was left was fur, the legs spine and rib cage!

Managed to get my WeBS done despite spending the morning in A&E and then having to be rescued from a stuck lift by the firebrigade in the afternoon!
Also Little Grebe, Woodcock, 2 Siskin and a Buzzard with a hole in its primaries with one of them stuck up like an anteni - possibly gun shot!
