I've been viewing waxwings all morning from my back door. They won't be around for long as the tree is almost bare already, but what a luxury. Also a total distraction from all the work I have to do today!! Still, watching waxwings is the perfect excuse.

The moment I've been waiting for arrived about 15 minutes ago when a flock of about 30 waxwings briefly touched down on my next door neighbours cotoneaster tree off Stand Lane in Radcliffe. They were flitting around for a few minutes but they've gone for the moment so I'm hoping they'll be back!
