Cracking views as it flew over capsticks and circled 5 Whinchat - 1 Elton Goyt near crow trees and 4 in Fields at Bradleyfold farm 5 Redstart - 1 male in the Goyt and 2 female/Imm at Redstart hedge and the creek Siskin south 2 Willow Tit Treeceeper 15+ Chiffchaff Goldcrest 5 Whitethroat 80+ Lapwing 4 Gadwall 3 Common Buzzard
Lots of birds clearly moved through with only 10 Willow warbler noted and no spotted flycatchers

3 Tree Pipit between Crow Trees Farm and the canal - my first site record!
1 Spotted Flycatcher below Withins with 3 Blackcap and 3 Whitethroat.
WeBS counts included 152 Mallard, 7 Goosander and 96 Coot.
1 Sparrowhawk and 1 Kestrel.
1 Kingfisher.
At least 5 Swift when I returned to the reservoir at 11.00.
Couldnt find the Whinchat though.

An adult Hobby went east over Old Hall Marsh this morning, where several Water Rail were calling Approx 100 House Sparrow feeding in the horse paddock near the level crossing Spotted Flycatcher in the hedgerow below the Pumphouse running back towards the sailing club, found by another observer, apologies dont know your name

This a.m. single Common Sandpiper, surprised to see even this as 3 different sets of anglers were camping out on wader point !. Hedgerows had many Willow Warblers with fewer Chiffchaff and Blackcap and 2 Whitethroat. Cheers Ian

1 Sandwich Tern flew through south at 9 .10 being harassed by one of the 2 Common Tern present. Another patch tick for me!

Highlights from a morning circuit:
1 Sandwich Tern flew through south at 9 .10 being harassed by one of the 2 Common Tern present. Another patch tick for me!
1 Little Ringed Plover juvenile and 1 Oystercatcher.
1 Sparrowhawk and 3 Kestrel.
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.
1 obliging Kingfisher perched on the dam wall close to me.
7 Swift and c40 Sand Martin.
1 Willow Tit showed very well around Crow Trees with a second bird calling nearby.
