Juvenile Redstart...1 Proved elusive but eventually seen after Steve picked up the call. Thanks to the finder Simon, as a Rumworth tick for me. In the same footpath hedge... at least 12 Great Tit; mainly juveniles passing through, and a Wren. Common Sandpiper...2 feeding together on my arrival. Lesser Black-backed Gulls... juveniles still loafing about. Pied Wagtail 4 including 2 very young juveniles.

After 6 this evening: The 2 Ruddy Shelduck still present on far side shore, among Black-headed Gulls and Coots. Usually with heads tucked down. The one that showed best was a female. Common Terns...2 Swifts...20+ Swallows...c10 Oystercatcher... 1 predated corpse on island, 4 more active, and 2 more seen crossing onto Ladybridge estate as I walked home. On arrival at 1600 hours I found c40 Swifts over the Beaumont Road footpath field. These soon thinned out as they dispersed over adjacent fields , the edge of the Lodge and some over the top of Ladybridge. There were few Hirundines over the Lodge. Just single figure numbers of House Martins and Swallow, but more of both at Lock Lane. Great Crested Grebe family intact at the Dam(pair+2 humbugs.) A Large humbug seen on the main Lodge; swimming on its own. Juveniles of Greenfinch and House Sparrow seen. Collared Dove...2 Otherwise as previous posts this week.

The 2 Ruddy Shelduck still present on far side shore, among Black-headed Gulls and Coots.
Usually with heads tucked down.
The one that showed best was a female.

and 2 more seen crossing onto Ladybridge estate as I walked home.
Usual numbers of Great Crested Grebes and a few Tufted Duck.

adjacent fields , the edge of the Lodge and some over the top of Ladybridge.
There were few Hirundines over the Lodge. Just single figure numbers of House Martins and Swallow, but more of both at Lock Lane.
Great Crested Grebe family intact at the Dam(pair+2 humbugs.) A Large humbug seen on the main Lodge; swimming on its own.
Juveniles of Greenfinch and House Sparrow seen.

Mistle Thrush having an in flight flutter with a male Chaffinch.
