Oystercatcher....1 on the ice, first one in at Rumworth I believe. Lapwing.....210 on ice Black-headed Gulls...c130 (2 fully hooded) Common Gull...6 at least Lesser Black-backed Gull....6 Teal...6 Nothing at the Dam Or Lock lane until I got good views of a pair of Grey Partridge. The watchful male standing erect while it's mate fed 3 feet away. My 3 sightings of this species this year have all been in different locations spread right over Rumworth. Mixed flock of Redwing/Fieldfare c70 in fairly equal numbers plus 30 Starlings

Wonderful views. Birds never budged. Linnet...35-45 Fieldfare... c70 flew into the hedge and field by Beaumont Road. This walk is a good way of picking the flocks up in the fields; the only problem is the road traffic noise.

On my way back from Middlebrook Valley, I called at the Dam. Rumworth was covered in a blanket of thick fog. Turning for home I picked up a pair of Bullfinch playing around on vegetation just off the Dam footpath. For me, a nice tick for this site.

On arrival 2 Buzzards, soaring together over the lodge. Wigeon...2 Teal....60+... none here on arrival, but then they dropped in, in flights, onto open water. Tufted Duck....2 Cormorants...5 Grey Heron...2 Great Crested Grebe...3 Fieldfare....5 Starlings...55+ Meadow Pipits...c10 Pied Wagtail...4 C250 Black-headed Gulls on the water. I picked out one fully hooded (just a very little moult on forehead), which looked like an Adult Mediterranean Gull.

The second sighting; being chased away west, with the corvid right on it's tail. Good views of the Dipper as it again perched on the channel parapet, and then on the adjacent railing.

Buzzards... 2 sightings. The second sighting; being chased away west, with the corvid right on it's tail.
