Single waxwing in our Ladybridge (B0lton) garden. We only have one small pink berried rowan tree but we have had wawings on at least six days over the last three weeks, with a maximum number of 12.

12 at top of Sycamore on Kings Grove, Wardle, Rochdale at 2pm today. Heard calling and then seen flying towards Wardle Rd.
May be worth checking the Great Howarth estate where there are trees with berries.

11 waxwings on Sunfield Lane, Diggle. Opposite my house! I only saw them because my dog happened to jump in the window! Circling rooftops at the moment, feeding on cotoneaster.

12 Waxwings,seen at North Place,Central Stockport at 14:35 this afternoon...... Following a very brief Christmas shopping expedition, there were 23 Waxwings present,at 15:15, mainly feeding on the Cotoneaster tree, at the bottom of North Place. However the birds were very flighty,frequently flying to the tops of the nearby Poplar trees. Also present 3 Mistle Thrush, 4 Blackbirds, 5 Wood Pigeon and 8 Goldfinch in nearby bushes.

Tayfield Park in Wythenshawe (Just south of Civic Centre off Tayfield Road)
12 Waxwings in a tree to the east side of the park by the school. Watched them for 5 minutes then they flew off east.
Another flock of 19 birds was then seen in the two very tall trees to the south of the park on Portway. I watched them there for 20 minutes, before I had to stop slacking off and get back to work
(I should probably learn to identify a few trees - it would make giving directions a lot easier)

17 when I left at 1450, same as yesterday they were commuting between a garden the far side of the parade and the doctor's surgery. Got some cracking shots today in the dying light, just lying looking along the low bushes when 10 birds dropped down for me. Easily the most obliging birds I've seem this winter.

I didn't manage to get down yesterday. Christmas shopping instead! The waxwing stayed for approx 30 minutes before being seen off by the Redwing. They flew off in the direction of the industrial estate behind MacDonalds. I'll try and get down again tomorrow.

22 highest count I had at Plymouth rd, but they were mobile moving between the health centre and some apple trees in a private garden. Fairly obliging, not that you could tell from my photos!

Just been for a 2 hour walk around the Uppermill area looking for Monday's waxwings. Get back home and they are sitting in a tree behind my house. So approximately 15 on Wellmeadow Lane, last seen at the top of the lane.
