The pesky Parakeet nailed at last!! 3pm today: As I climbed towards the top of the hill on Crosshill Walk, a squawking Ring-necked Parakeet flew below roof height across the top of Marnland Grove. Immediately I picked the bird up in Laurel in the back garden of the end house in this cul -de- sac. The tree was next to the walkway and had recently been pruned so I got good view of the male Ring-necked Parakeet at eye level and at 20 yards. Here just across the walkway, there is a grass triangle with several tall poplars etc. The bird eventually flew into these estate trees and dense foliage.
