Following the cancellation of the task at Rumworth Lodge Bolton Conservation Volunteers will now be working at Doffcocker Lodge this Sunday (12/08/2018) meeting in the carpark around 10.15am. Anyone interested will be most welcome as an observer or to join in. Most of the work will be on the island.

The bittern made me wait into failing light. Off it took from the reed bed at 6.20pm. It was quite a sight flying over the causeway.
It circled once calling occasionally, but on the 2nd circle it flew from view eastwards out of sight. Great view in my bino's
of the bittern and Jupiter in the same field of view - now that probably wont happen again to me in my lifetime!
