Escaped White-cheeked Pintail present late morning also 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Snipe, 30+ Fieldfare.
They are a pair of Swan Geese, escaped from somewhere. They have been hanging around the dam for at least a fortnight. Cheers Pete

Does anyone know anything about the two geese that hang about near the dam? They seem quite tame but the unusual thing about them is that I have never seen them more than six inches apart!

This morning the most interesting sighting an adult Peregrine Falcon which flushed all the gulls and corvids on and around the lodge and landed on a post in a field on the far side near Lostock and Chew Moor Community Meadow. The bird remained for 15 to 20 minutes I had good views with my scope.
