Just seen 3 of them in the trees at foglane park and then in the trees behind my house (: They've fed in my garden before, actually but were probably put off by the amount of birds already getting their fill.

Up to the end of 2010 it seems 11 is the highest official number of this species together.
Depending on what was submitted for 2011 will dictate whether that number is bettered and similarly for 2012 but any counts on this forum are unconfirmed and therefore unofficial. So it's once again a shame that these sightings remain largely unsubmitted to the Greater Manchester Bird Recording Group

Hi Vicky. If you're a regular visitor, there is a Fog Lane Park thread. You can use the forum search facility to find it. As for parakeets, try Fletcher Moss Park, although in winter they are a law unto themselves and seem to move from one park to another, so its pot luck really I'm afraid.

Not growing Rob, pretty much the same number I saw as per previous July post, only this time they were in one big bunch. Probably about 25 again, I only get a couple of seconds to count them as they fly over between one line of terraced houses and another and as you know they can be very fast flyers. By the way, I bumped into Debs Wallace at SaleWP last winter and she said she'd had a maximum of 18 on her feeders at one time.
