Hi. My first post on here. Male Stonechat patrolling edge of field just south of Mersey on Sale Water Park side, close to Jackson's boat. It's the first one I've seen in the Mersey Valley. Also good numbers of Fieldware and Redwing (about 50 birds in total) just north of Mersey on ploughed field on Hardy Farm, Chorlton. Don't suppose they'll return in future years when the owner puts his football pitches there as planned. (Couldn't see a Hardy Farm topic on the forum).

Jay
Pied Wagtail
Goosander - 8 (all looked red-head to me, but they arrived late and light was poor)
Jackdaw - huge roost of several hundred birds, a very impressive sight. Phil counted 185, but hundreds more arrived en masse after that.
BROAD EES DOLE - POOL ADJACENT TO HIDE
Buzzard, perched in tree - harassed by c.20 Magpies
On cycle back down Mersey, another large Jackdaw roost at Chorlton Ees.
