Sun evening 16:15 - 17:30 Strong Westerly wind subsided towards dusk Goosander 5 male & 7 females getting very frisky Lapwing 70+ (being disturbed by up to 6 Carrion Crows) Dipper on Cheesden brook below reservoir run off Short eared Owl hunting inside walled southern boundary. Caught a large dark prey item (Rate??) Fieldfares 20+ with c. 40 Straings in fields to west on other side of Deepley / Cheesden Valley.
