Plenty of Swifts dropping into Weaste ETW throughout the day. Joined mid afternoon by a Hobby which then proceeded to have a go at the resident Buzzard. Some impressive murmurations of midges yesterday evening.

Adult summer plumage Mediterranean Gull, Pomona
Found on the Manchester Ship Canal just south of Halfpenny Bridge at 11:15am, watched batheing, then flew onto Bailey building roof (on Ordsall side of the canal) where it rested for a while before flying back onto the canal near "The Pier" and showed very well, still present 12:30pm
