Basically the same as Mr Woosey except I could not find the dark Wigeon and I saw a very large Mink swimming in front of the Ramsdale Hide while being mobbed by BH Gulls. It visited 2 of the small islands scaring all the birds into the water then swam to the main bank. Not a good sign for breeding water birds at Penny this year.
Nice to see you Ian

A Willow Warbler was singing on the main path near the Edmondson hide, at the junction with the path to Ramsdale's hide, and visible from time to time. Also another one at a private site in the area.

From the end of the rucks this afternoon: a flock of BH Gulls were following a large mink swimming across Ramsdale's inlet - it came ashore not far from Horrocks hide. Also: 14 Oystercatachers, 3 Sand Martins, 80 Lapwings.
With reference to the powered handglider, if they have identification markings it is possible that we can try to contact the pilot throught the CAA. The wardens at Pennington have successfully done such before.
