Short walk tonight between footbridge and the fish. Blackcap (m) at top of road down to Gorsey bank, lots of very vocal Chiffchaffs, Whitethroat heard on the other side, Mistle Thrush on the horse field.
Heard a Blackcap singing in the grounds of Stockport Academy and had one in the garden last week. I've also heard a Chiffchaff in my Edgeley garden for the last week or so, doubt it will stay. A Willow Warbler was around for a few weeks in 2010, but not since.

Kingfisher can be found more often than not between the footbridge and the M60. If you stand by the railings just upstream of the M60 bridge for 10 mins you'll usually see at least one.
