They are well finished nesting by now - There is, as far as I know, no conclusive evidence to suggest Parakeet have a 2nd brood in the UK.

I spotted a single 'keet this morning at 9:45am, and between 8 and 10 yesterday at about 9:30am (Friday 13th) in my neighbours back garden. They seem to like the apple tree which still has apples on the higher branches.

Spotted a single 'keet on 12th November, 9:36, it was in the Hough End Allotments, Whalley Range towards the cycle route. It sat still for about 5 minutes or so, looking around.
For several days afterwards, I've heard a 'keet cry in the morning when I've been leaving for work around 10ish.
(I joined this forum to make this post and approval took a while).

Platt Fields. My highest Autumn total so far, for the pre-roost, was this afternoon's count of 71. I've had several 65's and 66's plus many in the fifties and forties and below, not forgetting one afternoon when the birds didn't fly off to roost at all, and just stayed on the island. Whether you're a fan of these birds or not, it's interesting watching their behavior.

There are a number of parakeets still visiting my feeders every day. It sounds like they may actually have taken up residence here. I can hear and see them almost all day in the trees around the grounds. Haven't seen any nests though.
Location is Lawnhurst which backs onto Simons Fields and Fletcher Moss Park. Lots of opportunities for nest sites nearby

Yes, I'm very lucky to have these numbers on my feeders. It's a costly business though with all the RSPB peanuts, sunflower hearts and mixed feed.
They love it all, especially the peanuts.
