Still 2 Cygnets there today, reports of one with fishing line stuck to it, happily it was okay when I arrived, good old ratch around the old tip, same birds as tony's list.

Definitely 2 Reed Warblers in front of the play areas, spent an hour and a half trying to photograph them- I think I got 3 views of it, let alone a photo, I think I'll have to go back in the morning when they're more vocal! Also present were 3 GC Grebe, a couple of geese and a few mallards. Also loads of swifts overhead- its funny how on friday there were none, and now they're everywhere!
Just a warning, anyone crossing the motorway bridge at priory gardens/sale WP, some prat has smeared vasaline all over the gate, so you can't open it without getting it all over you. What's the point?

Yup it's definitely a warbler fest out there.
Some interesting antics with courting GCGs on the lake. One pair getting their necks in a twist a third bird ignoring a fourth to try and break the pair up. Only seemed to strengthen their bonding.
Also saw a Woodpigeon fly into the middle of the lake and land on the water. For a moment it sat there as if it thought it might try being a duck for a bit then spread it's wings into the water had a wee splash about and then flew back into a tree. Never seen that before. Is it common?
