Can this really be true that no one in M/C has been birding since Adrian yesterday evening?
This is what happens when you let warfy AND Ian C go on holiday at the same time. Maybe the committee should organise a holiday rota next year?
Saying that, I can't believe that warfy hasn't lined up riggers for caretaking duty or is he too afraid of what riggers might turn up on his own patch???

The Black Tern was still present at 7.15 but now flying and feeding over the reservoir. Interestingly, following Sid's comments on Swallows harrassing Wagtails, the Black Tern was harrassed by both Swallows and Sand Martins on a few occasions and chased quite relentlessly at times. 3 Common Terns that were flying nearby seemed more or less to escape attention. Perhaps its slimmer build made it appear more raptor-like to a hirundine.

Quite elusive though in the breeze i only saw it again once before 8am in same hedge, seems abit early for a pied fly to be on the move?
