An adult Med Gull was with c20 Black-headed Gulls and two Lesser Black-backed on the edge of the flood just after 8.00 this morning. The flock was flushed, but settled back at the far end of the field. It was still present when I left at 8.30. This was more than ample compensation for the absence of waders.
