No sign of the 2nd year Iceland Gull in 2 visits yesterday (am/pm) and no large Gulls at all in 2 visits today (am/pm) but a group of c30 Black-headed Gulls circled over the yard and flew off. Nothing on any of the rooves that I could see.
I know birders from further afield are reading the forum and coming for the Iceland Gull without success. Sightings are becoming more sporadic now of this Gull.

A couple of images from yesterday, of the 2nd yr Iceland Gull and 2 of the Argentatus Herring Gulls on the 384.
Well after no sign of the juvenile Iceland Gull since 7th Feb, it is now currently in its favoured spot on the 384 building.
Also 3 Argentatus Herring Gulls, not seen any here for a while then suddenly 3 turn up here and 2 at Smithfield!

-Herring Gull Y:F94 is a York ringed bird that Ive had here before February 6th last year. Amazing how different it looks, I put an image on last Feb. -Ringed on 30th June 2017 -Age when rung BTO code 5 which means it was hatched in 2016 so its a 3rd W now in its 4th CY.

- No sign of the juvenile Iceland Gull over 2 visits today am / pm. Also noted a significant reduction in large Gull numbers. One Gull of note though was one I saw the other day too, very pale bird with fairly white head, dark eye and slim black bill, but knowing my track record it could just be a pale Herring Gull. I managed a couple of images the other day so will send them over when I get chance Ian.

Visit 1210 to 1230 produced the Iceland Juvenile Gull on 384 building. There were also 2 adult Great Black-backed Gulls, Common Gulls, Herring Gulls, Black-headed Gulls and 1 adult Herring Gull which was as big as the Great Black-backed, presumably an Argentatus Herring Gull.

I popped down for the Iceland Gull which showed well for a bit but the Caspian was a no show in 2-3 hrs looking. Decent place to watch though..
Had the details back for the B H Gull already.
Caught and ringed as a 3+ yr old bird presumably near or en-route back to its Northern Europe breeding site on 31st March 2018 at Svanemollebugten, Kobenhavn, (COPENHAGEN) DK06, Denmark.
Sex - Male. First sighting since being ringed.

Hi Craig, thanks for the reply, always worth a look at Redgate now for interesting Gulls including the commoner ringed ones (as there could well be a good chance of a continental one) aswell as the rarer / scarcer species that have been turning up recently. Redgate is coming into its own now and Im quite surprised at some of the comments Ive received in that not many people knew it existed.

An 8 species of Gull day at Redgate, quality! Last time Caspian Gull X106 turned up in December... an adult Yellow-legged turned up at the same time, as has happened today. I managed a record shot of the Yellow-legged Gull that day. Unfortunately the sleet was heavy at one point and I had to run back to the van to take cover and dry my camera lens. I tried taking a shot through a partly misted windscreen when it landed on a nearby lamppost but its not good. But a slight break in the weather saw me back out again and although the Yelllow-legged Gull had disappeared, I managed some ok images of X106 so not too bad I suppose.

Also a good number of Common Gulls present, hard to tell but possibly 30 or more. They constantly harass the Black-headed Gulls for scraps of food when any turn up. I did notice last week (and I forgot to post - apologies) there was a large group of Common Gulls maybe half a mile away on Mellands Sports Club fields on Mount Rd towards Levenshulme.
