I could not get to todays wildlife recording event as I did not finish work until 2pm, I did pass on my way home from work only to get distracted by a bird flycatching in the wood next to Trafford road bridge, I only managed a couple of glimpses so can not be certain on the exact species, from the jizz I would have a guess at maybe a spotted flycatcher it did have pale underparts. despite hanging around for at least half an hour, no other signs. I did return without my bike around 5pm & had a good mooch around, no other signs but did manage to find a GARDEN WARBLER around 6.45pm it was feeding low in the shrubs but found difficult to get a pic due to all the twigs, leaves & branches, it then just went out of view. also around was a flock of at least 14 long tailed tits with 1 willow warbler, also around was 1 blackcap, 1 chiffchaff.
