gentle stroll with my mums dogs this afternoon (yes ive become a part time dog walker) the drake summering Goldeneye was showing well(Declan you had it yet?)

Sorry to report more negative news ; no sign of the Long-tailed Duck.

5 Goldeneye.
6 Little Grebe.
Treecreeper.
Kestrel.

The Long-tailed Duck was still present late morning at least (per Bill Gregory, an east lancs birder).

Am getting curious, what is the longest a long tailed duck has stayed at one site in GMR?

Long-tailed Duck still present at 13.30.

Also min 7 each of Goldeneye and Little Grebe, 40 Coot, 30 Common Gull, 80 Black-headed Gull

Long-tailed Duck still with us this afternoon.
