A Ring-necked Parakeet flew over north at 3:34pm today.
Also present were 5 Snipe, 34 Linnet, 5 Stock Dove, 5 Goosander, 14 Teal, a Tree Sparrow and 2 Chiffchaff.

Thanks Mike. I know they are nothing compared to some of the other members' photos but as they say "practice makes perfect". I am very thankful to the hides at Pennington flash as they are much easier to take photos from than the outdoors (especially in this colder weather). Didn't even realize until I saw the sign on the car park but I have ran through Hope Carr NR this morning. I didn't find the "main pool" I don't think but I saw several small, shallow pools.
I saw the following in the Nature Reserve:
Blue Tit Great Tit Chaffinch Blackbird Robin Wren Moorhen Mallard Black-Headed Gull
On the Glaze near the bridge that goes to the houses:
3 Goosander (2m 1f) 2 Mallards 1 Grey Heron
5 Sparrows flew off as I approached the bridge from the bushes and I didn't get time to get a proper look, could these possibly be Tree Sparrows or are they just the House Sparrows from the nearby houses?

Good variety of ducks on main lake - Mallard, Tufted, Gadwall, single Goosander, Goldeneye pair, Several Shoveler. (Wigeon pair were also seen on Saturday but not today) More Goosander on Glaze. Also a Kingfisher on glaze. Tree sparrows in usual place. Three Buzzards
