Note it could be that we have up to 6 singing Cettis Warblers on the flashes at present which if right is remarkable !!

At the feeders, the Redpolls you recorded were surely Lesser Redpolls, as opposed to Common Redpolls? A "slip" of the pen so to speak? (As "Common" of course are relatively scarce, and would have some of us zooming down to see them!)

Coots...200 Moorhen...10 Jay...1 Great Spotted Woodpecker...1 Pheasant...1 House Sparrows...6 Dunnock...1 Goldcrest...1 good views. Blackbirds...12 In the willows by the rail bridge over the canal (Bridge 2A) there was continuous activity from a mixed flock,(c30), of Chaffinch and Tits. Great/Blue and 1 or 2 Coal Tits with Long-tailed Tits nearby. Tom Morton spotted 2 Little Grebes on Pearson's which promptly vanished and Andrew saw a Kingfisher flash

Cetti's Warbler singing this morning at Hawkley Reedbed near feeding station and presumed same bird sang once in SW corner of Scotman's near island. In area between south end of Scotman's and Bryn Marsh Robins noticeable with 34 counted, also 7 Willow Tit, 5 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap and 1 Buzzard. 15 Wigeon and 10 Gadwall on Ochre Flash. Single Water Rails heard at Hawkley Reedbed and Ochre Flash and two in Bryn Marsh. 23 Meadow Pipit and 4 Skylark SW

With nearly all the gulls and most of terns fledged and gone all eyes are on the last of Common Terns, having lost a chick sunday/monday they had to move the remaining two from islet to islet to avoid a pair of fueding Mute Swans ,this involved a group of six adults(called in from the eastern end) mobbing the swans while the parents encouraged the chicks to swim quite some distance to the new spot,probably 50m in all at only 13 days old an amazing achievement,and heart stopping to watch.YL4 seems fine.

usual waterfowl,mixed crowds of Lapwing,Starlings milling around, a bit of raptor day with Buzzard,Sparrowhawk and Kestrel popping in.
The Common Terns arn,t just picking on me other regular walkers have been mobbed, today one managed a direct *hit I,m not sure wether to wash it off my coat or wear it with pride

With nearly all the gulls and most of terns fledged and gone all eyes are on the last of Common Terns, having lost a chick sunday/monday they had to move the remaining two from islet to islet to avoid a pair of fueding Mute Swans ,this involved a group of six adults(called in from the eastern end) mobbing the swans while the parents encouraged the chicks to swim quite some distance to the new spot,probably 50m in all at only 13 days old an amazing achievement,and heart stopping to watch.YL4 seems fine.

YL4 the injury prone male Mute swan has either been attacked again or opened up the old wound and is covered in blood,nothing to be done just watch and wait.
