White stork circling over Monton at 1050 this morning. Drifting in general direction of Winton/ Boothstown. Ian was alerted as I watched it and put it out to others. Thought I was in Portugal for a moment when I spotted it whilst driving. Got moved on by traffic warden who didn't care it was a rare sight in Salford. Jobsworth.

Peregrine again perched on the Salford Western Gateway tower beside the M60 Barton Bridge, this time on the Trafford side of the Manchester Ship Canal. Noticed while driving over the bridge at 11.00, I exited and drove round to see it fly off towards Barton Moss. Rubbish flight shot may help the RSG identify the individual.
