Parked up on a break on Glastonbury Drive opposite Poynton Lake. I was watching a few Swift and House Martin whizzing around when I suddenly heard a bird calling from a tree in the overgrown area at the side of the van. I knew what it was straight away and got onto it briefly low down in the tree before a Blackbird inadvertently spooked it and it made its way round the other side.

Lunchtime today at Poynton Pool - not the best shot, but since I had only gone for a stroll and a "mess about" with an old lens, I was hardly prepared - isnt that always the way when there is something out of the interest on your local pool!
